Disneyland Disability Access Service (DAS)
If you're planning a trip to Disneyland and have a child with a neurodivergent child or adult the Disneyland Disability Access Service (DAS) can make a huge difference in your park experience.
Since our first trip with DAS back in 2015, it's been a game-changer for my son, who has Autism, Auditory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and Social Anxiety. This service helps us navigate Disneyland without the stress of long wait times, allowing us to enjoy the magic at a pace that works for our family—including my neurotypical daughter.
What is DAS at Disneyland?
The Disability Access Service (DAS) at Disneyland is designed for guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period or time.
Think of DAS like the Lightning Lane, but it's specifically meant to accommodate those who need additional support while navigating the parks. Using the Disneyland app, you can request a return time for a ride, reducing the need to stand in long lines. Once your return time arrives, you’ll enter the Lightning Lane queue with a shorter wait, usually around 10-20 minutes.
DAS accommodates up to 4 people in your group, but if your family is larger, you can speak to a Cast Member to potentially increase your party size.
How to Register for DAS at Disneyland?
There are three ways to register:
Pre-register online: This is the easiest option and can be done up to 30 days before your visit. You'll have a video chat with a Disneyland Accessibility Cast Member to discuss your child's needs.
In-person registration: Visit the Accessibility ticket booths at the Disneyland Esplanade after passing through security.
In-park registration: You can register once inside the park by visiting a Guest Relations Green Umbrella kiosk and you’ll be pointed to a QR Code to register via the virtual request process.
Once registered and approved, DAS is valid for 120 days, after which you'll need to renew.
How to Use DAS?
Using DAS is simple:
Open the Disneyland app and find the ride you want to reserve.
Select DAS, choose the names of your party members, and get a return time.
When your return time arrives, head to the Lightning Lane queue and scan your barcode.
After you’ve scanned and redeemed DAS for a ride, you can request another return time 10 minutes later. For busy days, you can use both DAS and Lightning Lane to get on more rides. Keep in mind that some rides in Fantasyland don’t have separate Lightning Lanes, so you’ll enter through the exit instead.
